Noticed a bunch of new device/... trees have shown up on android.git.kernel.org. They appear to serve the same purpose as the platform/vendor/... trees. Or is the ./device/... path designed for common public code and the platform/vendor/... path setup for licensed material? Or ./device is specifically for production phones and vendor for development platforms.
