Hi all,

I'm a bit new to Android development, so please forgive and redirect
if my question is obvious or already answered ...

There are many recommendations to use jdk 1.5 rather than 1.6 (because
of problems with @override). Most of these seem to date from 2009.

1) Has the issue been fixed, or is it expected to be? That is, will
new releases build safely with jdk 1.6?
2) Whether fixed or not, would the fix be made in the jdk, or in the
Android build system? That is, will older Android builds always
require jdk 1.5?

Thanks
Scott W
