We are porting Android to a device that will have no cell radio or wifi. I was thinking that it might be beneficial to employ ACPI S3(e.g., Sleep) or S4(e.g., Hibernate) when the device is idle for a long time in order to prolong battery life.
Would it just be a matter of pulling in the suspend code into our kernel, and adding the appropriate code to trigger it, or am I missing something? Is this even a worthwhile idea? -- unsubscribe: [email protected] website: http://groups.google.com/group/android-porting To unsubscribe from this group, send email to android-porting+unsubscribegooglegroups.com or reply to this email with the words "REMOVE ME" as the subject.
