The Skia based WebKit GraphicsContext uses a record and playback strategy with the SkPicture class. What are the advantages for using this approach? One significant disadvantage is that dynamic content on the page, no matter how small, requires a new record and playback cycle. So even if some simple text is changing in a small section at the top of the page; we have to repaint the entire page.
