Ok, the gitorious kernel superficially seems alright until
servicemanager crashes. I've tried a number of different root fs
though and each case results in the same problem. Therefore the
problem must lie with the kernel. Or, I wonder if the error is related
to the fact that I am booting from SD card, not flash ...
