You mean you want the features to have PIN locks and such? How about device admins (which has some close ties to it)? You'll have some some to tease all of those pieces out of Froyo in to Eclair. How about just moving to Froyo? ;)
The code is Apache 2.0 license so the only legal constraints on what you can do with it are those described in the license.
