Thanks for the replies.  I think it has given me all of the info that I am
looking for.  Right now I am looking to port Froyo to some different
devices, so I am setting up a 32-bit build environment.  Once I get
comfortable on Froyo I will try to help out on the master branch.

Thanks again!  I am sure I will more questions.  :)
