i doubt if any OS want to do that. > Assuming that the driver is installed when the Netflix application is updated > and has not been baked into iOS probably its more like app/libraries got updated to use already existing tv video-out driver interface.,
by default, ipod/iphone ships with tv-out option to show video/pics over composite AVcable or a dock=>VGA adapter. so this means drivers are already functional w video out over TV. jail broken iphones could make any app to use tv-out, and now, netflix appgot that privilege officially i guess.. (probably had it's app signed by apple with capability to use tv-out). -- Regards, Deva www.bittoggler.com On Thu, Oct 7, 2010 at 10:59 PM, Andres Buritica <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > I saw the release of the Netflix video out adapter for the iPhone and it > made me wonder if something similar to this is possible for Android devices. > Assuming that the driver is installed when the Netflix application is > updated and has not been baked into iOS, does the App API allow the > installation of drivers (kernel modules)? > Here's the news link for reference: > http://news.cnet.com/8301-13506_3-20018573-17.html > Thanks, > > -- > unsubscribe: [email protected] > website: http://groups.google.com/group/android-porting > -- unsubscribe: [email protected] website: http://groups.google.com/group/android-porting
