Dear Android porters, I have problems with the Android UI related to telephony functions. SMS, settings cannot work properly. From the log files, I noticed that whenever any telephony API is run, an exception will be thrown. Some examples are;
com.android.internal.telephony.CommandException: REQUEST_NOT_SUPPORTED com.android.internal.telephony.CommandException: GENERIC_FAILURE Has anyone encountered the same problem before? Is it some sort of permission problem? I do not know where exactly to start for this problem. Any advice will be most welcome.
