I am investigating the shutdown/suspend behavior on a Froyo based
device. In order to do this I added traces to the ShutdownThread. For
some reasons these traces don't appear in logcat. I verified that my
version of ShutdownThread is running by renaming the wake lock and
peeking at the held wake locks using "dumpsys power"
Any idea why the traces aren't shown by logcat? Could it be that the
shutdown intent sent by the ShutdownThread is causing the termination
of the component responsible for logging before the processing of the
traces has finished?
