Dear dev,

I am not aware of android version on micro2440 at this moment. but i
can tell you one this sure
that ubuntu10.10 64bit is very good for the build environment, you
will need sun-java5-jdk for building android2.2 or lower version and
sun-java6-jdk for building 2.3 onwards as a major component. My
experience of android porting is!!
while i was doing the porting work(for android 2.2) i first tried my
hands with ubuntu10.10 32 bit but faced many problems then shifted to
ubuntu 10.10 64 bit n everything went easy. i also tried compiling 2.1
with ubuntu 10.10 64bit n it also worked. so i suggest you can
definitely go ahead with ubuntu 10.10 64 bit. if u don't want much
risk of installing it and removing(if problem occurs) then i can
suggest install it as a virtual guest os and use it, but keep one
thing in mind in case of virtual os you should have 30GB hdd n 1-2 Gb
ram least.

I will update you with android version on micro2440 as i get some
info.

Regards

Mahesh
