Friends, While working with wireless network. I'm able to get IP/DNS/Netmask etc form DHCP. i.e.
[dhcp.wm0.pid]: [2154] [dhcp.wm0.reason]: [BOUND] [dhcp.wm0.dns1]: [192.168.0.1] [dhcp.wm0.dns2]: [] [dhcp.wm0.dns3]: [] [dhcp.wm0.dns4]: [] [dhcp.wm0.ipaddress]: [192.168.0.13] [dhcp.wm0.gateway]: [192.168.0.1] [dhcp.wm0.mask]: [255.255.255.0] [dhcp.wm0.leasetime]: [600] [dhcp.wm0.server]: [192.168.0.1] [dhcp.wm0.domain_name]: [anonymous] [dhcp.wm0.domain_search]: [] Question1: IP not being displayed on user screen. How to do it? An explanation of the scenario would be appreciated. Question2: I've observed few more entries in log - [net.dns1]: [] [net.dns2]: [] [net.usb0.dns1]: [] [net.usb0.dns2]: [] --- what's the significance of these entries? --- How will it affect my network if these fields are blank/filled? --- If it's not being filled up automatically (say, in this scenario) ; which file/function is (or might be) responsible for that?
