Hi all,
I am fairly new to kernel developement but understand the basics of
it.
I am currently trying to Port android Kernel and rootfs to Freescale
i.mx 27 ADS board.

After reading all the material and available data on this i think i
need some help here.

Developement Env. : Fedora 9 with java 1.5 and arm toolchain.

Currently building Android Froyo and kernel version is 2.6.29

Now i have working kernel version 2.6.22 and 2.6.30 on this board.
2.6.30 is not fully tested yet but board is booting well and think
just need to add frame buffer drivers and it will be good enough.

Here is what i have done and their results.
1. As Freescale i.mx27 ADS is not a new board kernel config support
this board. so i build the 2.6.29 android kernel and tried it on board
the FEC dont work.

2. I can not get the 2.6.30 version of the android kernel. I am more
interested in this one because i have working kernel 2.6.30 standard
linux kernel working on it.

3. I could not found that version in git. May be it can be done using
patches. i dont know where i will get it.

4. Now i started to use Bennos android 2.6.22 kernel patch on my
2.6.22 kernel ( std) .

5. it didnt worked with the rootfs we build for android froyo.

6. I followed the standard steps described on the site. and no errors
occurred in the build procedure.

7. then i used the same kernel ( kernel with patched bennos) with
ZAURUS rootfs and it worked. OD i need to modify the rootfs???

8. Suprisingly to me, that ZAURUS rootfs worked well even with my
standard linux 2.6.22 kernel.

So in all i am bit confused . whats going wrong.

WHat should i do? I am looking to run android froyo (atlest) on this
board.
Any help or guidance will be a great help for me .
Thanks .
