I'm new to android porting. For the newer 3G modems audio is redirected over the second USB port as 16bit 8khz ADPCM audio stream. I need to encode the audio and write to modem while simultaneously decode reieved audio. I don't think this is something to be implemented in the RIL. After modifying the initialization AT commads for a voice call in the RIL. Now where do I implement the Encode or decode functions. I stated looking into the phone.apk sources. Should I be modifying the phone.apk sources for this purpose OR should i be looking in the audio framework and asla library or both. Please point me in the right direction.
