We have ported Android 2.3.4 on custom hardware that allows
connectivity to internet using LAN and WLAN. When we connect our
hardware to corporate networks, that have proxy/firewall settings,
none of the applications are able to connect to internet.

However, when we connect an Android phone(running GB 2.3.4) to the
same Wireless Network, without any additional proxy settings, we are
able to connect.

Wondering what the difference could be between the two OS versions.
How do we configure Android to handle proxied networks?

Is it possible to do this at lower layers or does individual apps have
to take care of this?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.
