IIRC the origen board does have some sensors, especially the new one. The 
panda is fantastic and has i2c support to hook up to sensors rather easily. 
Beagleboard has perhaps a bigger modding/hacking community that seems to 
have hooked just about anything up to it. (a lot of those things are 
compatible with the pandaboard as well.)
