I know recovery seems to be a big huge undocumented area of the android
codebase (especially since there are so many variants etc anyway)

Anyway, Id like to get the pandaboard booting recovery images and
ultimately doing restores etc.. I've been able to build recovery and make
otapackages etc, but when I reboot into recovery it just comes up as a
black screen. (the same symptoms when I hadn't copied
the proprietary binaries over, when I was making the regular rom)

I dont see how the recovery.img gets built from make recovery, however I
went ahead and unpacked it, and noticed the proprietary binaries were not
in system/lib etc, so I copied them over and repacked.

My question is... has anyone been able to boot recovery with visuals... and
if not, can someone provide a bit of information how the recovery image is
built when you do a make recovery, make recoveryimage, so I can investigate
the problem further?
