The original intent of vbox_x86 was a stopgap until the emulator was was ported. It seems that despite the availability of a very good emulator image (and up to date with JB!), the vbox build target is still of interest to some platform developers. I've been considering submitting commits to eliminate vbox as a target as no longer needed. The alternate is to allocate resources to get it cleaned up (again) and keep it working in the future. That can probably be done... but only if there is a real use for it.
So... please respond on this thread (I'd prefer that it be documented here rather than in direct e-mail) as to why you need/want vbox and why the emulator doesn't suit your needs.
