Gentleman, Again I'm porting a new version of android 4.3.1 to a piece of hardware I've already got older roms on.
I've noticed that running reboot as super user at command line doesnt reboot most of the time, it just does emergency remounts and then hangs. I've run kernels/uboot from older builds and while it boots and runs it still exhibits this behaviour. I have seen cases where the remount didnt show "remount completed" or whatever, but no errors either. My question is... are there any other ways you guys can think of to trouble shoot the issue? I've got serial comm out, adb, and redirected stdout/stderr to serial and literally see nothing after the remount. I temporarily disabled the remount and dont get out immediately after the reboot command. I believe we've ruled out the kernel, and that it could be in bionic, or services holding up the reboot etc... but really dont know where to go from here. -- -- unsubscribe: [email protected] website: http://groups.google.com/group/android-porting --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "android-porting" group.
