Hello everyone,

I'm in the middle of experimenting the Android OS; I want to customize it
like Amazon did with their FireOS and set it on my own device.
I'm new to this whole thing so every help and advice is appreciated!

While building aosp, I ran into "Propriety Binaries". I presume I am not
allowed to use those for my product?
With that presumption, I tried getting started on building the aosp without
the binaries.
I am now running into issues during the "build" step ($ m); it isn't
starting.
I am pulling from the "master" branch.

Question 1. Am I allowed or not allowed to use the Propriety Binaries for
my product? I presume not.
Question 2: Do I need the Propriety Binaries in order to build android and
run it on an emulator?
Question 3: Is the "master" branch the branch I should pull from if I am
seeking to not use the "Propriety Binaries"?

As stated, I want to do what Amazon did with their FireOS.
If this is a bad idea, please tell me why so I can learn; I'm new to this
whole thing :)

Thanks
Katone
