Does *any* OS have remote attestation? On Oct 30, 2009 9:53 AM, "Bretzie" <[email protected]> wrote:
What is the roadmap as far as support for ActiveSync connectivity to enterprise Exchange systems for email, calendar, and contacts? Specifically, we have 2 security policies enabled on our ActiveSync server - remote wipe of a handset that has been reported lost or stolen, and a 4-digit passcode to unlock the device after a certain period of inactivity. Now it's not enough to have these abilities (2.0 is reported to support passcodes instead of gesture unlocks, and remote wipe may be a possibility) but the ActiveSync server must be able to enforce these policies on the handset. In other words, if I attempt to sync my mail down to a handset without the passcode set the server can then require me to enable and set the passcode before proceeding. Is this on anybody's radar? Seems like this could go pretty far in terms of enterprise adoption...
