I somehow managed to install the certificate.
Now I am not able to connect to the AP.
my log says

V/WifiMonitor( 944): Event [Associated with 00:1d:7e:5e:52:a7]
V/WifiMonitor( 944): Event [CTRL-EVENT-EAP-STARTED EAP authentication
started]
V/WifiMonitor( 944): Event [CTRL-REQ-IDENTITY-0:Identity needed for
SSID LinkSys]

Where do I need to specify the identity information. Is it in the
wpa_supplicant.conf?
Please I am stuck with this, anyone please help me regarding this..

Thanks,
Chitra
