Great question. I have wondered the same thing because part of the delay in getting 2.2 on some phones is said to be Motorola and HTC needing time to make sure that MotoBlur and Sense function smoothly. It would seem then that for any patch to be pushed to those phones, it would have to first go through Motorola and HTC, respectively. It seems like a poor model, if that is indeed the case.
Anyone else have thoughts on it, or better, have any knowledge about it?
