all, If i were to write a restful service from scratch, how do I isolate it to only be consumed by a certain android application?
Given the security issues around the APK, embedding an id and passcode would not be useful, as the code can be easily decompiled, and I am not sure if obfuscation will be a benefit either. The only way around would require each user who purchases the app, provide with unique id and password, embedded in a license file, generated on purchase...etc. Are there any other ways? The issue, is I want to avoid piracy, save bandwidth and cpu cycles and secure the web service for its specified use only. Thanks in advance for your input. -Jeremy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Security Discussions" group.
