Hi, I have researched a lot of sites about SSL client certificate authentication with Android browsers. I was able to upload a .p12 file into the Android secure store from my SD Card as well. I am using Android 2.2 by the way.
Having then tried to get SSL client certificate authentication working in the various browsers available (Webkit, Firefox, Dolphin, Opera) I finally came to the conclusion that current browsers don't make use of these certificates in the Android secure store. Is that correct? So my question: What's the state here? Do you know of any browser vendor that plans to implement this feature in near future? Is there a plan for the Android browser to support it? Are there already browsers that support the feature using an own certificate store? The list of people requesting this feature is quite long... growing and growing: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=8196 Regards, Esse -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Security Discussions" group.
