Yes, and, working on biometrics, I need to say that it's not as easy as you
think. For most of biometric modalities you need a specific sensor. For
example, to capture the fingerprint, you will need a fingerprint scanner.
You may use the camera of the device, but it will not give results as good
as the ones used in a traditional way (the cameras for iris recognition have
embedded a lot of utilities as locating the iris and focus on it, etc etc).
