So by not fully implemented, you mean we don't include all of bouncycastle.
true, we only include a subset of algorithms, but with a set comparable to
the reference implementation, so I typically haven't had complaints.

as far as updating, I have typically been updating to new releases as they
come out. probably this doesn't matter to most users, because we don't make
the bouncycastle API available since it does not intend to be
backward compatible over time. the implementations are available via the
java.security, javax.crypto, etc APIs. if you do need to access
things unavailable via this mechanism, then bundling SpongyCastle may be
the way to go.

I think someone who wants to encrypt and decrypt a string with a common
algorithm will find what they need. If not, feel free to file an issue and
let me know.
