I received an email today from filedir.com with a URL saying that my app had won their 5-start reviewers choice award. That instantly made me suspicious. I went to the link they provided and sure enough, it looks like they got my app data from Google Play (the only marketplace I have posted the app).
Has anyone heard of these guys? I googled them with some additional keywords but because they seem to be doing this for many thousands of apps the search results are covered with hits from that site. This seems to me like some sort of copyright violation. I never gave them permission to distribute my app and I have no faith in their scrupulousness. If you know anything about these guys, good or bad, please let me know. - Kaos -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Security Discussions" group.
