My personal opinion on non-transparent DRM related emcumberances: I will tolerate it if there are no choices. For example, I deal with CDMA Workshop's never ending battle with the reversers because CDMA Workshop is relatively unique in its function. I would not accept it from a few DVD/CD mastering packages because there were plenty of choices. The folks who wanted me to pay for a license then jump through hoops quickly lost my interest.
