Videos located in a password protected folder or on a secure server requiring authentication won't play in the default browser on the Nexus 7 or Galaxy Samsung S (both Android 4.2). However, they do play on the Android Firefox browser (WebM videos). I use standard HTML5 video tag which works fine when the video is not in a password protected folder. This same HTML works on Win 7 IE 8 & 9 (Flash fallback for 8), Chrome, FF, and Opera, and on Mac Safari, Chrome, FF, and Opera, and iOS Safari. The issue only happens when the video is in a password protected scenario. Here is someone else's test page showing the issue (our server is corporate, blah, blah, blah). http://evowebsites.com/test3/ You'll see that the video in the password protected folder fails even though you have logged into it. Any insight would be appreciated, sure seems bizarre! =(
