Hi

I am developing Android apps and want to make a secure as possible. I am
researching Android security risks and found some general threats

- no app store review process
- users ignore permissions
- fragmentation. Many users on old version of android. Security
vulnerabilities not patched.
- multiple app stores
- users can easily sideload apps.
- android is open source so hackers can study the source code to discover
vulnerabilities.

Can anyone proved a list of examples of actual security threats that have
been exploited? And to which Android version the exploit is applicable to?

Gingerbread ( 2.3.3-2.3.7 / 10 ) 6.9%
Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0 / 14-15) 5.9%
Jelly Bean (4.1.x / 16 ) 17.3%
Jelly Bean (4.2.x / 17 ) 19.4%
Jelly Bean (4.3 / 18 ) 5.9%
KitKat (4.4 / 19 ) 40.9%
Lollipop (5.0 / 21 ) 3.3 %

cheers
Lee
