Hi Tony, yes, I see, with my last change, I confused "level with metalevel". :-) I'll fix this later today!
About the template projects in general: Thank you for your explanation and your dedication to quality/usability of the product we're writing. In Germany, we have a saying: "You pound against my already open door". I agree 100% with what you said and would like to have it exactly that way. I'll write a hibernate-template project for AndroMDA 2.x. Who writes a struts-template? About our packaging of ZIP files: My original idea was that the user should only need to download what (s)he wants to use. However, this decision has proven too difficult for new users. And: users prefer to spend a little more download time when they get ease of use. So, I'd like to propose the following new packaging schema: Let's do it like Apache or JBoss - let's ship one source code ZIP and one binary ZIP - no more. The source code ZIP is trivial - it contains exactly what you get with "cvs co andromda-all", no more, no less. The binary ZIP should contain the sum of the current ZIPs (minus sources), supported by a decent subdirectory structure in the ZIP. I think, having only two ZIPs (andromda-binary.zip and andromda-source.zip) would make it very easy for users to handle the product. Tony and the others, what do you think? Cheers... Matthias P.S.: About template projects again: For 3.x, I dream about "project-lets" in each cartridge that can be composed to a whole "project" by a new sort of "project wizard" that lets the user choose which cartridges (s)he wants to use. > -----Original Message----- > From: Anthony Mowers [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Saturday, July 05, 2003 9:05 PM > To: Matthias Bohlen; [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [Andromda-devel] Finalizing the new build system > > > > Matthias, > > I think the latest change you made to the build.xml for > samples/ejb-template might be an error.
