Hi Wouter,

thanks for the status - now, the email came through without problems.

I re-read your email message of September 21 and found all our
discussion items in there. You are right: We disagreed only about the
generation of JSPs from view classes and about the methods in the view
classes that represent the button events fired by the JSPs.

But I'd like to follow your suggestion of September 21 where you say:

> Btw, currently I have improved the cartridge already considerably,
> I have taken your input into account and this has lead to some
> other significant changes. I will not go into that yet, as

I found this very reasonable. Discussing an intermediate result is
always easier and more effective than discussing a possible future
result. :-) So, I'd like to wait for your first beta to appear in CVS
HEAD, along with the document and sample model that you mentioned below.
Then, I'll have another (closer) look at it and give you feedback.

Makes me curious what's coming up... ;-)

Cheers...
Matthias

<previous%20email>

this email basically says I have moved to your perspective of the
cartridge (guards, triggers, etc...) except for the JSP pages, my
arguments are in this email.

I am now writing the documentation and constructing a good example UML
model to show the model constraints.

The current state of the cartridge will not work with the model you've
sent me, in fact IMHO I think it will be easier, quicker and more
intuitive for users to model as I have chosen to do (no offence :)
because I mostly rely on the graphs to do all the generation, I only use

classes in the model to really model classes, not JSP pages. JSPs are
generated from ActionStates, if you want a state without a JSP page you
would use an ObjectFlowState, I will explain everything in my document
and a sample model will make it clear.

let me know if there is anything...

cheers.

/Hi Wouter,

how is the status of the bpm4struts cartridge? The new version of the
car rental system sample model that I sent you, does it generate,
compile and deploy with bpm4struts? If so, we could go out with this
cartridge into 3.x alpha.

Curious...
Matthias/
