Subject: RE: [Andromda-devel] Adjusting AnimalQuiz for use with MySQL
Hi Chad,
oops, I did not mean that you commit this to CVS because there are two
other places that have to be adjusted from Hypersonic to MySQL. But
--- Ok, sorry about that I'll revert the file.
thanks for pointing out the properties file, so I'll try to do it in my
sandbox and deploy it to team.andromda.org. By the way, I used this
notation, and it worked, too:
maven.andromda.namespace.0.property.1.value=file:${plugin.resources}/map
pings/MySQLMappings.xml
-- Strange, not sure why you're notation worked since ${plugin.resources}
could refer to any plugin we're using (not just the andromda one).
Something else: In an ant build.xml file, the <namespace> tags look
quite beautiful and reasonable. In the maven plug-in, the
"namespace.0.property.1" notation looks somewhat strange. Is it possible
to do it differently? Something like this:
maven.andromda.default.sqlMappingsUri=file:${plugin.resources}/mappings/
MySQLMappings.xml
--- Yeah I agree, it is kind of ugly looking and confusing I might add (the
property notation). I could actually do something like you mention above
(and I've been thinking about it too). The reason I didn't have these to
begin with was so I can loop through the properties (without having to hard
code the names), this other way I actually need to define them in the
plugin.jelly file, but it probably makes sense to actually give them a
meaningful name, I'll look into changing it.
Thanks...
Matthias
