Subject: [Andromda-devel] About UML1.3 support and the Repository
Hi,
Mathias, Chad (or anyone who can take the good decision):
(Correct me if I'm wrong)
The MDR Repository is here for loading the metamodel AND the model.
So if I want to put an UML1.3 metamodel I have to modify it or to
write a new Repository.
Anyway, I think there are conflicts between my jmiuml13.jar and your
jmiuml14di.jar.
--- Yes, you'll need to change MDRepositoryFacade to point to the
UML 1.3 metamodel (instead of the curent
/M2_DiagramInterchangeModel.xml)....so you will need to modify it.
So : What do you prefer?? (a new repository or a customisation)
If customisation: How do you want me to resolve the problems I 've
described above?? (Meta-model and conflicts).
---- For your testing purposes, why don't you just make a copy of it and
rename it to MDRepositoryFacadeUML13 (or something similar), and then modify
the new copy to work with UML 1.3? Then you just need to specify your new
repository class in the <respository/> tag. That way you can test it
against the existing MDRespository without having to change sources each
time. After you get it tested and working, we can always decide later on how
we want to do it.
Best Regards
