so I'm sharing my local repo for the others in order for them to work
without having to wait for downloads to finish (which take hours)

Anyway, as we discussed on IM: the 'light' dist would only be useful for
snapshot updates and then it's not really worth it I think, so let's forget
about it. 

So basically the people that can't access the remote repos using maven and
like to update snapshot releases have a hard time because they have to pull
33MB from the server (that is: using a browser)
