that's the best question of all! :-) I thought that we'll all do it,
each one of us in his area of interest.

We'll need modifications to the core, allowing us to integrate several
metamodels as plug-ins at the same time and build chains of
transformations between them. We'll also need modifications to the
cartridges. A cartridge should be able to say something like "I
transform from metamodel A to metamodel B". Another cartridge might
say "I transform from B to C and then to source code".

We'll need new metamodels. They will have to be agreed upon, then
designed, modeled and generated. We'll need new metafacades that
operate on other metamodels, mostly not on UML any more.

So, it is not just the question "who'll be writing the code?" but also
"who will discuss, agree upon, design, model and implement?". It is a
much larger effort with many activities beyond writing code.

I am willing to spend time in the overall architecture and design,
modeling metamodels and build transformation chains.

I also think, we should involve other people as well, for example,
from universities (maybe someone wants to write his diploma thesis
about one of the tasks to be done). This was Peter Friese's idea, by
the way. I'll ask Pieter van Gorp and Lofi Dewanto for this, maybe
their students will be willing to contribute.

Cheers...
Matthias
