Hey fellow committers,

the AndroMDA Boot Camp this week took place with five participants at
the Hilton Hotel, Bonn, Germany. I really enjoyed it! It was a real
good atmosphere with the possibility to collaborate, using a shared
Maven repository and a CVS server. Quite cool to see AndroMDA
beginners debug their new cartridge remotely using Eclipse! And: the
Hilton service team did a good job, too - the food and the (always
freshly ground and brewed) coffee were delicious!

In the meantime, I got a confirmation from SIGS DATACOM, the people
who organize "OOP 2006", the big conference on object oriented
programming, in Munich, Germany. They accepted my proposal for a
session on "QVT, new kid on the MDA block". The conference will take
place on January 16-20, 2006.

By that time, we should have a real good demo running with model
transformations. That's why I'll resume the work on PSM metamodels
next week that I already wanted to do for quite a number of days, now.
Question to you all: When could we finish 3.1final so that we can
branch off for 4.0M1 with all those exciting new features?

Another upcoming event to see AndroMDA in action is "openArchitecture
2005", where AndroMDA committer Peter Friese and I will dance for you!
:-) We'll design, generate and implement a J2EE app in front of the
audience, live on stage, driven by requirements which come from the
people in the room. We'll use two video projectors to show our screens
and let you watch how fast MDA can be! The show is called "MDA im
JetStream" - you can find more info on the conference website at
http://www.openarchitecture.de . Register online, you'll still get
discounted prices at the moment!

Cheers...
Matthias
