I agree that having meaningful association names is a requirement in every 
application, and such task can't be automatically handled. But for some 
reasons, you sometimes don't want to worry about some part of the designed (or 
generated) model, and just want to access it as an external business domain. It 
can help to keep an abstraction between different business layers, and it's in 
this view I think an automatic fill of association names could be helpfull (it 
could be a boolean option).
