Hi Matthias and the other AndroMDA-Users,

thanks for your detailed answer about including protected areas in
sourcecode.
Now I understand the problem better.... but sometimes its realy handy to use
protected areas.

So I decided to develop a tool that support protected areas.
My design goals were:
- Don't modify any AndroMDA-Sourcecode
- Independent from Generated-Sourcecode (Java, XML, JSP,...)
- Simple to use
- Support of multiple proteced areas
- Ant support

The result is PBMerger (Proteced Block Merger).
The merging process is realy simple:
1. PBMerger collects all files from a Folder/Subfolder, where
Generated-Files with a Protected Block-Prefix exists (e.g. PB_Customer.java).
2. Pickup the corrosponding Implementation-File from the
Implementation-Folder (e.g. Customer.java).
3. Backup the Implementation-File.
4. Scans for Protected Blocks (PB) in the Implementation-File, if a PB
exists merge the files, else just copy the Generated-File to the
Implementation-Folder.

If you interrested to use PBMerger, you can download the package under:
http://www.oo-modeller.de/PBMerger

If you have any comments, feel free to contact me!

C Ya,
Olaf Kaus
