Hi Gabriela,

Good timing, Matthias just added some more docs about metafacades, you can find them on the team server: http://team.andromda.org/docs/andromda-metafacades/index.html.   The java type exposed in the templates is the metafacade interface.  For example, these are the ones exposed by the basic metafacades: http://team.andromda.org/docs/andromda-metafacades-uml/apidocs/index.html.   The "class" object (or whatever you call it..you can call it whatever you like depending on whats in your andromda-cartridge.xml) is the object that has the stereotype in your model that matches what you have defined in a <template> element of your andromda-cartridge.xml, this has an example of what an andromda-cartridge.xml contains: http://team.andromda.org/docs/andromda-cartridges/index.html.  (however ignore the last example on that page...thats old and needs to be fixed...I'll do that now).

Subject: [Andromda-user] Metafacades and model elements

Greetings,

I am attempting to write a custom cartridge.

Where can I find more documentation on metafacades and where can I find what a "class" object offers in the template file. What is the java type exposed in the templates ?

I guess using metafacades is a 2 step process as I have seen some generated code in the source files etc...

Thank you,

Gabriela
