Wouter, Chad,

Many thanks for the help. I've got the answers I need.

I want to work with Andromda 2 and velocity to build code from activity diagrams. I
now understand that I need to write a cartridge and build my own helper class to
access the model.

Thanks again.

Ian

P.S. The reason for all this is I have too much invested in Andromda 2 cartridges and
too much immediate pressure to move to Andromda 3 right now. I need to include
expressions of flow in my UML and could do it by abusing a class diagram. If I do that
it will take even longer to move to Andromda 3. Hence, I want to create a basic
template that uses activity diagrams in Andromda 2.

Any comments or advise on moving from 2 to 3 would be appreciated.

Thanks again.

I'm confused,

What is the question again ?

1. I want to use poseidon + andromda2 + velocity + activity graphs to
generate code : yes! But you'll have to write your own cartridge

2. I want to use bpm4struts using poseidon + andromda2: no!

Hi Ian,

You're welcome. Well it can probably be done seeing as you have

access to

the UML 1.4 meta model in your script helpers/cartridges, however I
haven't
tried it, and don't know if it would be worth the effort trying to

make it

work with 2.x. I believe Wouter has a work-a-round (for AndroMDA 3.x)
for
the fact that poseidon doesn't support some of the activity model

needed

by
his cartridge. However he would be the best one to answer that.

Chad

Chad,

Thanks for the feedback. My problem is that at present I'm not able

to

move to Andromda 3, or Magicdraw. Before I embark upon an effort to

try

to access the poseidon activity model using velocity from Andromda

2, I

would like to know if it can be done?

Thanks again,

Ian

Have a look at AndroMDA 3.x and the andromda-bpm4struts-cartridge,

which

does just that:

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to produce code using

velocity

based on activity diagrams? If not what are the issues?

i.e. Working with Andromda 2 and Posiedon

Best regards,

Ian
