Eg. which companies are using AndroMDA or which kind of projects are
developed with AndroMDA?
We, OpenUSS (J2EE Open Source E-Learning System: http://www.openuss.org),
begin to use AndroMDA to reverse engineer the whole application
component by component. OpenUSS has already a component-based
architecture (http://openuss.sourceforge.net, and click the picture in
the middle, which is listed as one of a reference architecture
within the IMS Global Learning Consortium:

with a lot of components, but has no "model" layer.
This "model" layer is what we want to add.
We also integrate AndroMDA into our infrastructure project
EJOSA (Enterprise Java Open Source Architecture:
http://ejosa.sourceforge.net) to add MDA capability
into the EJOSA architecture and process. In EJOSA we define the
"structure" and "process" of developing J2EE application,
which should be very simple (KISS) and independent of all the
IDEs. We only use Ant for build and execution management,
so if you don't like Maven, go for EJOSA... ;-)

In EJOSA we integrated the development of AndroMDA cartridges within
the application/component development life cycle (it is almost
impossible to have a perfect cartridge directly in the beginning,
especially if you build a new cartridge for your purpose -> iterative).
In short (this week) we will release EJOSA Revo 2.1 which included
AndroMDA 3.x M2, a new documentation and a new introduction article.
All applications and components (OpenUSS, OpenFjord, OpenGroup, ...)
we develop in our institution, use EJOSA as infrastructure and so
indirectly AndroMDA.
IMO, AndroMDA (quality, concept and community) is the best MDA tool!
