hello,

yes you are right, you'll still need MagicDraw for bpm4struts because that
cartridge uses advanced UML features that are not properly supported by most
other tools ... I did not find a free tool that supported the requirements,
I have also contacted Gentleware some time ago and asked them if they were
interested to implement that support but they responded saying  that
additional features such as the ones for bpm4struts are not planned, and
will not be available

I recommend getting an academic MagicDraw license, it's cheap

the Struts cartridge (as opposed to the bpm4struts cartridge) is completely
deprecated and I would not start using it since you'll probably get little
or no support (we never actually used that cartridge)

furthermore, the Struts cartridge generate only 10-20% of the code, where
bpm4struts has much more features and generates code that can already be
deployed
