Hi,

I have a few problems setting up a simple sample project using AndroMDA and wonder if you can give my any pointer about how to do it.

I am currently using the snapshot of AndroMDA 3.0M3 that I checked out yesterday. I build the samples and they seem to work. I now wanted to create my own project. I used the andromdapp:generate maven goal to create the general folder hierarchy.

Currently all I want to do is to use AndroMDA to build simple Java source code for my classes. Therefore I want to create a small test UML file that only defines a "Person" class with a "name" attribute using Poseidon.

Now I am getting problems. I understand that there is an xmi file residing in the mda/src/uml folder. Does this file define the available datatypes or where do I get these from? What do I need to do with this file (somehow integrate it into Poseidon?).

One additional question is about the usage of Maven. I am normally an ant user but saw that most of the users of AndroMDA switched to Maven and therefore want to try it, too. As far as I understood the build files for ANT it is possible to configure the usage of cartridges. Where do I find this behaviour in Maven?

Thanks for reading my mail. I hope that you can give me a hint or two that I can continue to figure out how I can continue.

Best regards,
Stefan
