Magic Draw isn't a dependency, it can be used with other UML tools (i.e.
Poseidon) as well.

I filed a Jira report as suggested by Martin.

I've used Maven to build the samples and I'm considering it for another
project, so I'm not anti-Maven, but the point of this exercise was to
migrate an AndroMDA 2.1.2 project to 3.0 with minimum changes, so that meant
using the same build tool.

I know it's a pain to continue to support old items, but introducing new
dependencies like Maven, MagicDraw, etc makes AndroMDA less accessible to
potential users.
