Wouldn't it be easier to make datatype mappings that can take parameters, so
that for example that i could just say i.e. String[20] instead of creating
new mapping, it would be a disaster if I would have 20 kinds of lengths off
coarse :D

[CB] How exactly would this work?  Can you give me a concrete example of why
this would be useful?  How many parts of your application do you need to
specify the length (other than the DB)?  Why would you want to specify the
length of the string in your model...sounds very implementation specific to
me.

This approach is used in OptimalJ (in the psm), it seemed an easy to use
feature to me, don't you agree?
