Hi Bruno, This section is highlighted in the documentation:
"When loading resources from the merge location you will need to respect the same directory structure as in the cartridge jar. This means that when the cartridge contains templates/SomeTemplate.vsl and your merge location is /opt/custom you will need to copy your new template in /opt/custom/templates/SomeTemplate.vsl, like this you can override all cartridge resources."
