I am saying that a) I can see the relation in the containment tree b) I can see the relation in the "Relations" tab when viewing the specification for a class d) the association line is never drawn between two related classes if I drop them both on a class diagram. It's just weird that I don't see the association/aggregation/composition lines. Shouldn't I?

you using MagicDraw 9.5 ? I'm asking because it was showing the same behavior of not rendering any associations when elements are dragged&dropped onto a diagram


I went back to 9.0

9.0 does the same thing as well (I'm using 9.0 still too), but like Tim said the associations can be turned on/off (by default they are off starting with 9.0 when you drag them onto a diagram).
