If you don't have an identifier (<<Identifier>>) on an entity, andromda will automatically add one (unless you turn the default identifiers option off), when it tries to add one, the default type is 'datatype::Long' (the type is configurable as well), if you don't have that type in your model (as a UML datatype) then you'll get a validation error from AndroMDA saying that the id doesn't have the type defined (since it can't find that type when it tries to automatically add it).
